The BYU-Idaho flute studio is a vibrant and supportive group of undergraduate students pursuing the highest standards in music as they prepare for careers as performing artists, educators, and creative leaders in their homes and communities. The BYU-I Flute Ensemble was selected to perform at the 2019 NFA Flute Convention. BYU-I flutists have been recent winners in the NFA Masterclass Competition, Spokane MusicFest Northwest Competition, Idaho Falls Symphony Young Artist Competition, MTNA Regional Competition, and BYU-I Concerto Competition. Recent alumni have been accepted and awarded scholarships to elite graduate schools and gained employment as K-12 educators throughout the country. BYU-I ensembles tour regularly, and recent tours include performances in Canada, Mexico, and throughout the Eastern and Western United States.
